1. Objectives
This workshop aims to bring together key stakeholders from the 2024 VC Workshop in Thailand beyond to share and discuss the latest developments in verifiable credentials (VCs), explore emerging challenges, and highlight global adoption trends—including digital wallets and ID representation. Participants will gain insights to help plan national or organizational strategies.
2. Goals
Raise awareness of VC-related technologies across Asia and emphasize trust on the web, interoperability, and collaborative activities.
3. Purpose
- Share existing solutions and interoperability efforts
- Identify implementation gaps
- Explore innovative solutions
- Review cross-border interoperability and wallet compatibility
4. Expected Outcomes
- Enhanced international/ASEAN collaboration on digital credentials
- Progress report on VC adoption
- Identification of key challenges and possible solutions
- Recommendations for improving interoperability and usability
- Special use case development among participating countries
5. Target Participants (50 invitation-based)
- W3C members, OIDF Japan, FIDO members (primarily Japanese)
- Experts from the Open Wallet Foundation and OpenID Foundation
