TRAINING

WCAP (Web Consortium Asia Pacific) aims to promote and spread W3C, web technology, and its standardization in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of this activity, we provide free web technology training for Asian countries having a support by APNIC Foundation.
WCAP training in English is operated by Internet Academy, a professional organization that has provided web technology training to more than 120,000 students in the past. The quality of the training is guaranteed.

The training consists of 2 parts: Information Security Management for managers and Fundamentals of Security for engineers. Targeting cloud and infrastructure engineers seeking to enhance their security knowledge, as well as personnel newly engaged in information security. Upon completion, participants will be able to secure development principles by incorporating security measures throughout the entire system design, development, and operation phases. - Training #2 Verifiable Credentials for Digital Identity

This 8-hour training covers the fundamentals of Verifiable Credentials (VCs) and Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), while also enabling participants to build simple applications using VC technology. VC/DIDs are innovative tools that allow individuals to control their digital identity securely, without relying on centralized authorities. This training cultivates job-ready graduates who seamlessly integrate into professional web production teams. It suits both students and professionals with basic IT, English, and document creation skills. This program will elevate your country's IT human capital and contribute to national strength. - Training #4 Web Accessibility

This course provides practical training in web accessibility across the website development process. It is ideal for web production professionals, including designers and coders, who are new to accessibility but have a basic technical background in web development and design. It covers core accessibility principles based on WCAG, key design and implementation considerations, legal context, and hands-on evaluation methods for improving both new and existing websites.
- Training #1 Security
- Select an organization to host the training in your country
The organization will coordinate with WCAP to organize the following.- Assign in person in charge
- Decide the date(s) for on-site training
- Select a venue that adjusted to the capacity of the selected training
- Recruit participants (web page, flyers, social media, using related networks etc. WCAP is not involved in student recruitment)
- Create a participant list and provide it to WCAP 10 days before the training
- Reception of participants on the day of the training
Equipment needed in the room where the training will be conducted:
- 1 class-room style room
- Projection screen
- 1 microphone
- HDMI cable
- Power strip for participants
- wifi or wired LAN
Upon completion of the training, WCAP will provide graduates with a digital certificate. This serves as a guarantee of the skills and quality of the participants.
